The cuckoo sang: "z-z, z-z” - Margaryta Bolgar
“These z's filled our entire space. They are like the cry of a cuckoo that constantly screams in your head: ‘z-z, z-z’. In a philosophical sense: to be able to distinguish the true from the temporary and the false,” says photographer Margaryta Bolgar. “Like to see the difference between a life-giving dove of peace and soulless cuckoo drawn by someone on the wall. Which does not even have its own nest.”
Bolgar is currently producing artwork from the Russian Occupied territory of Kherson. Because of their unique struggle, 100% of the donations from this piece will go directly back to the artist via the Ukraine Direct Aid Project. If required, a receipt of the donation can be sent to you after the purchase of the artwork.
