Mobilisation - Margaryta Bolgar

“When the general mobilisation came into effect in Ukraine and the men were summoned to serve in the war—that was the moment your heart contracted with pain,” says photographer Margaryta Bolgar. “Because it’s on that day when you separate that you wonder if you will ever see each other again. Moments when you lose meaning for yourself, and instead your family, partner, child all become the most valuable treasures in your life.”

Bolgar is currently producing artwork from the Russian Occupied territory of Kherson. Because of their unique struggle, 100% of the donations from this piece will go directly back to the artist via the Ukraine Direct Aid Project.
