Make Your Choice - Elena Vylusk
“I’m really interested in birds—especially pigeons,” explains Ukrainian artist Lena Vylusk. “My dad used to keep pigeons, so when I was little I’d always watch them in my garden.”
“The theme of this picture is how to make the right choice, how to find the right key, the right door, the right lock, but I leave this to the viewer. I paint pictures so that the viewer imagines and solves the problem that I set in the work,” she says. “I painted it in January of this year, and in February a war broke out in my country and this picture took on a special meaning, we all have to make a choice between good and evil, between good and bad.”
