Life Breathe - Armand Sarlangue
“As I flew above the Icelandic Highlands in September 2021, I witnessed a mesmerising sight that I knew I had to capture. From the Cessna plane, I could see water weaving its magic on the once dark and foreboding volcanic ground, turning it into a lush, blooming paradise. In this image, I aimed to convey the stark contrast between life and death in nature, with water being the core element that separates these two situations,” says the photographer Armand Sarlangue.
“This intimate portrayal of the scene is a testament to the power of nature and its ability to transform even the harshest landscapes. It was recently published in a 6-page feature about my work in the December 2022 issue of FotoCult Magazine, alongside other images of mine.”
