Badlands Circus - Armand Sarlangue
“I took this photograph in 2019 in Paria, Utah (USA) - a location I had dreamed of capturing for years,” says the photographer Armand Sarlangue. “This otherworldly scene depicts the infinite layers of colours and textures, which have been created through the erosion cycle, forming an abstract patchwork of natural art. Using a 300mm lens, I focused on the junction point of two formations at the beginning of sunrise, capturing a stunning composition where the sense of scale was lost between the colours and reliefs. It's an awe-inspiring sight, where the beauty of nature is captured in an abstract form.”
